Job Description
Brickhouse Brewpub (a division of Upper Thames Brewing Company) is on the hunt for an enthusiastic individual to join their kitchen staff as a cook. Our focus is on providing their guests with an unforgettable dining experience in a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere. Their menu features high-quality, beer-infused pub fare.
Education
Experience Required
Requirements for this position include;
- Proven experience as line cook, required
- Food safety certification, health & safety awareness required (training provided, if needed)
- A valid candidates experience includes but is not limited to;
- Preparation of simple pub food menu items in a timely fashion, following menu specifications
- Prep of large batch recipes
- Knife skills, experience working with fryer, grill and cold stations
- Experience with board calling, an asset
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients and procedures.
- Stocking stations, prep for service
- Able to work independently, without direct supervision
- Maintain a professional and positive working relationship with coworkers and customers
- Maintain a clean, food safe working kitchen environment
- Able to prioritize, be organized and following direction.
