Junior Fire Alarm Technician - L390

Taplay Fire Protection Inc. is an established Fire Protection and Life Safety focused company serving the London Ontario region for over 23 years. As a Mircom ESD we have access to all Mircom products and factory training. We are currently seeking a Junior Fire Alarm Technician
to serve our growing customer base.

Responsibilities
Work with a Senior Technician who will help with training to properly complete monthly, semiannual and annual fire alarm, fire extinguisher, fire hose and emergency lighting inspections.
Learn to perform troubleshooting, service work and repairs on fire alarm systems, fire
extinguishers, fire hoses and emergency lighting.
Complete Work Orders and Inspection paperwork in a timely manner.
Assisting with fire alarm equipment installations, modifications and programming.

Qualifications
Troubleshooting, organizational and communication skills.
Mechanical aptitude an asset.
Canadian Fire Alarm Association Registered with all current CFAA updates.
Experience with inspecting and servicing all types of fire alarm systems is beneficial.
Thorough knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Strong computer skills to complete fire alarm inspections and Ipad based inspection forms.
Clean Vulnerable Sector check and clean driver’s abstract are required.
