Job Description

A qualified Mechanical Assembler Level I – Entry / Junior will be able to read and follow assembly drawings and Narratives to correctly assemble and test a wide variety of hydraulic components and sub-assemblies in a work cell environment with a group of Assemblers.

Principal Accountabilities:
Read work instructions and Narratives, work orders, production boards
Accomplishes work by studying assembly narratives, blueprint specifications, quality alerts, design changes and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Be aware of the correct operating sequence and workflow of the assembly department
Measure correctly to the “tolerance of measurement” standard
Verifies specifications by measuring completed components
Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
Communicate any issues/concerns to other Assemblers at shift handover
Conduct daily and preventative maintenance checks
Clean and maintain machines and work areas
Performs other related duties as assigned.                                                                            




 

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

Completion of secondary school or equivalent or 1-3 years in Manufacturing.
Ability to use various Mechanical Inspection Tools (e.g. Tape Measure, Calipers, Micrometers), Power Tools
Good Written and Oral communication
Ability to find information and continuous learning.
High level of detail accuracy, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination;
Proficient with Technology, Reading text, Document use, Numeracy;
Ability to work as a team/independent;
Ability to work in a safe and orderly manner.
Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written.
