Job Description
To meet the needs of their growing company, VDK Group is currently seeking a full time Shipping and Receiving Associate. The successful applicant will oversee all incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments, as well as overseeing an organized manner of storage of all products, to improve overall efficiency of how the company is run.
Responsibilities Include:
· Receive calls from front desk and greet customers/contractors at the shipping doors
· Promptly and accurately retrieve customer orders and help load
· Track and update customer pick-ups on VDK's shipping app on a tablet.
· Promptly unload trucks and deliveries and sort and stock receivables
· Inspect incoming materials and notify appropriate staff of potential quality issues or missing products.
· Maintain a clean, neat, and member ready area
· Operate forklift to accomplish shipping/receiving duties
· Other shipping and receiving functions as they relate to shipping and receiving
Education
Experience Required
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years’ experience in shipping/receiving
· Excellent organization and time management skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with frequently changing dynamics
· Ability to lift heavy windows, doors, or garage doors.
· Forklift license is an asset
· Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently
