Job Description

Position Summary:

BMMB Construction Group Inc is looking for a Red Sealed Plumber to join our growing team. Our work falls central to Oxford County as well as surrounding area. We are looking for Trades People that want to grow their skills and work professionally with a dedicated team in the field of Residential, Commercial, and Industrial. We are in the plumbing service and contracting fields. Our work is for small and large scale customers.

Position Hours:

Full-time (32-40 hours per week)

Overtime hours vary

On-call work

Rate of Pay: Negotiable, as pay is based on experience and knowledge.

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Qualification as a Red Sealed Plumber (306A)
  • Certification in OWWA - Cross Connection Control Specialist (this training is not a must, although would be considered an asset)
  • Experience with Residential and Commercial plumbing (Industrial Experience would be considered an asset)
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License with clean drivers abstract
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Must be physically capable of performing all the work required for this position
  • Must have very strong customer service and communication skills with ability to go above and beyond and carry out work in a professional and respectful manner
  • Strong math, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Mechanical Installation, local codes, and building codes
  • Flexibility in work schedule (able to be on call certain weeks of the year)
  • Minimum safety certifications: Working at Heights and WHMIS (If other training is required after hire, BMMB will provide as required)
  • Certified G2 Gas License considered an asset
  • Experience with Hydronics is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner on each call, keeping customer service at the forefront
  • Perform installs, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, or public buildings
  • Sewer & Drain servicing
  • Capable of installing correct supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment
  • Knowledge in types of Valves, fittings, piping and equipment related to all types of plumbing
  • Water conditioning and filtering systems
  • Full installation of Faucets, sinks, tubs, toilets, etc.
  • Supply and install of domestic hot water heating systems
  • Test pipe systems
  • Preform Back Flow Testing on testable devices
  • Work in cooperation with other trades and labourers to ensure that all specifications, legislation/policies are met, and to ensure efficient completion jobs/projects
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all modern equipment and regulations
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures as per BMMB safety standards along with the ‘Ontario Green Book’
  • Ability to manage, mentor and supervise apprentices
  • Contribute to site/company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude

Expected start date: 2024-09-23

 

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Occasional on call hours

Work Location: In person

Wage Details

$32 - $42 per hour
