Job Description
- Successful candidate will participate in the operation of bending and shaping metal parts in our manufacturing plant on our Brake Press
- Comfortable with reading and interpreting blueprints and executing the final product as required, follow verbal instructions
- Ensure all safety controls are in place
- Safely load and unload machine throughout the shift
- Capable of using other precision tools such as; caliper, measuring tape, height gauges, form gauges and templates
- Must practice safe lifting and work procedures at all times
- Participate in Company 5S program by maintaining workstation cleanliness
- Assist in other duties as required
- This is a day shift position (Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 4:30am) (40 hour work week)
Education
Experience Required
- 6–12 months experience in a brake press/manufacturing environment is a definite asset
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Must have good math skills
- Ability to work with fellow team members and also individually as required
- Must demonstrate quality and attention to work details
- Can follow written and verbal instructions
- Shows exceptional people skills with a ‘can do’ attitude
Has excellent attention to details along with great physical and mental capacity
