Are you passionate about crafting exceptional drinks and sharing your knowledge with others? Scotch & Ponder is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Bartender to join our tasting bar team! If you have a love for mixology, a flair for customer service, and an appreciation for fine spirits, wines, and craft cocktails, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and craft spirits, with precision and creativity.
- Educate customers about our products, sharing insights into the tasting notes, production processes, and unique qualities of each item.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment, ensuring all equipment and tools are in top condition.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, restocking as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving any concerns promptly.
- Uphold company policies regarding alcohol service and ensure responsible consumption.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- Previous bartending experience is preferred, especially in a tasting or craft-focused environment.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktails with the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers in an informative and friendly manner.
- Ability to work efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating unique, memorable experiences for guests.
- Must be of legal drinking age and possess Smart Serve and Food Handling certifications.
