About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Road Service Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling to client locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material-handling equipment. If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and providing exceptional customer service, this position is an excellent opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to customer sites to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment, including electric, propane, diesel, and gas-powered models.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Replace or repair components such as engines, brakes, transmissions, and hydraulic systems as needed.
  • Maintain accurate service records, complete repair orders promptly, and provide detailed service reports to customers.
  • Offer professional recommendations for equipment upgrades or preventative measures to improve performance.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations and company policies.

Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or technician (2+ years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and delivering high-quality customer service.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred 
  • Technical certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Regular work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (overtime may be required).

Wage Details

$24 - $38 per hour
