Job Description
As a Housekeeper at the MSC you will be responsible for:
- Provide housekeeping services to meet client goals as outlined in the individual’s care plan
- Light housecleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, scrubbing surfaces;
- Laundry services;
- Changing and making beds;
- Basic meal preparation; and
- Seasonal type tasks such as spring cleaning, cupboard and appliance cleaning, closet tidying.
- Provide errand services (on an as approved basis), including but not limited to; Picking up dry cleaning; Shopping for groceries; and Gathering other supplies as needed
Education
Experience Required
What you bring:
· Experience working in a homecare setting
· Experience providing a high standard of customer service that is client focused
· Ability to lift, push or pull cleaning equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds; stretch arms above head; bend to clean under furniture.
· Valid Ontario Drivers License and reliable transportation required
· Completed First Aid training with a current and valid certification would be an asset
· Familiarity with the MSC’s services and geographical service delivery area
