Joining the Thames River Melons team will guarantee you a summer full of adventure. You will have the opportunity to work outdoors and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and share the excitement and joy of locally grown produce with our customers.
We are looking for seasonal staff members to work at farmers’ markets, our farm market & pick-your-own patch, in our farm kitchen, our farm food truck, at pop-up roadside fruit stands, and as market box delivery drivers.

Education
Experience Required
A hardworking, determined attitude
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Positivity and energy
Creativity and resourcefulness
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and carry ~20lbs and stand for long periods of time
Basic math skills (addition and subtraction) – without the use of a calculator
Interest in becoming part of our community
Experience in sales an asset
Food Handlers’ Certificate an asset
G-level Drivers’ License a definite asset
Details:
Market days begin around 4:30am, ~12 hour shifts, 3-5x/week (to be discussed further)
We also require staff for our Farm Market & Pick Your Own Patch, Farm Kitchen, Farm Food Truck, and pop-up roadside fruit stands, between hours of 8am - 8pm daily
Market Box Delivery shifts begin between 5am and 7am and return to the farm around mid to late afternoon
Must be available to work Saturdays, but opportunities for work on every other day of the week as well
Season begins around mid-May and continues into the fall
