Job Description
Andrew Heikoop Construction (AHC Paving) is a family owned and operated paving contractor. We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude, and attention to detail to join our team in the 2025 season (April-Nov).
Duties would include:
- Assist the paving crew foreman with various tasks as required
- Perform physical work such as shoveling, raking, tamping and sweeping
- Perform basic maintenance such as inspecting, greasing, and fueling equipment
- Operate vibratory plate compactors and rollers to compact soil, gravel and asphalt
- Assist as required with maintaining a safe and tidy jobsite
- Experience operating asphalt roller considered an asset but willing to train the right candidate

10 hour work-day, Monday-Friday
Education
Experience Required
Must have the following qualifications:
- Work independently and follow instructions.
- Work outside in various weather conditions such as heat, cold, sun, and rain.
- Proficiently use GPS technology such as Google Maps
- Experience operating and/or floating paving/heavy equipment considered an asset
- Valid G license with clean driving abstract is required
- Commercial license considered an asset
