Paving Crew Member / Roller Operator

Andrew Heikoop Construction (AHC Paving) is a family owned and operated paving contractor. We are looking for a motivated individual with a positive attitude, and attention to detail to join our team in the 2025 season (April-Nov).

Duties would include:

• Assist the paving crew foreman with various tasks as required
• Perform physical work such as shoveling, raking, tamping and sweeping
• Perform basic maintenance such as inspecting, greasing, and fueling equipment
• Operate vibratory plate compactors and rollers to compact soil, gravel and asphalt
• Assist as required with maintaining a safe and tidy jobsite
• Experience operating asphalt roller considered an asset but willing to train the right candidate

10 hour work-day, Monday-Friday 

Must have the following qualifications: 

• Work independently and follow instructions.
• Work outside in various weather conditions such as heat, cold, sun, and rain.
• Proficiently use GPS technology such as Google Maps
• Experience operating and/or floating paving/heavy equipment considered an asset
• Valid G license with clean driving abstract is required
• Commercial license considered an asset
