Job Description
The Millwright will install, dismantle, move and perform maintenance on machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns
- Apply proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving
- Dismantle, assemble/install and move machinery efficiently with precision
- Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of equipment in a manufacturing setting
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
- Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting
- Responsible for equipment changeover, set up, take down and relocation of machinery
- Respond to equipment problems in a timely and customer-oriented manner
Education
Experience Required
- Millwright ticket 443A
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work
- Experience with CNC lathes, gearboxes, Heat Treat equipment and Robotics
- Proficient at operating lift trucks, hoists and using power tools during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
- Experience working with presses and induction heat systems
