Job Description

The Millwright will install, dismantle, move and perform maintenance on machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns
  • Apply proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving
  • Dismantle, assemble/install and move machinery efficiently with precision
  • Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of equipment in a manufacturing setting
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions
  • Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting
  • Responsible for equipment changeover, set up, take down and relocation of machinery
  • Respond to equipment problems in a timely and customer-oriented manner

 

 

 

Education

Not Applicable

Experience Required

  • Millwright ticket 443A
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work
  • Experience with CNC lathes, gearboxes, Heat Treat equipment and Robotics
  • Proficient at operating lift trucks, hoists and using power tools during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery
  • Experience working with presses and induction heat systems
