Job Description
As a Truck Driver with Yantzi Home Building Centre, you will be operating various trucks such as flat bed trucks with either a Moffett forklift or a boom attachment, a tilt deck truck or box truck, pricking up and delivering various products to customers.
- Delivering various lifts of building materials to customers and jobsites efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload trucks, both in the yard and on site.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the trucks both interior and exterior.
- Communicate with yard supervisor to ensure safe and efficient delivery of goods.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations) as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Drive safely and in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Report all accidents, incidents, or unusual occurrences to supervisor immediately.
Education
Experience Required
- Must have a valid DZ AR-Z or greater, will train proper candidate for boom operation
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, management, and co-workers
- Minimum 1 - 3 years experience of truck driving.
- Must be able to visually verify contents of shipments
- Available to work alternating Saturdays with a weekday off.
- Physically fit, ability to lift heavy objects.
