STATUS:                                 Temporary Part-Time (minimum 32 hours biweekly)

WAGE RANGE:                       $34.58/hr (this hourly rate includes 14% in lieu of benefits – 2025 start rate)

MAIN DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Resident Programs & Staff Education, develops implements and assesses therapeutic, recreational and physical programs to meet the needs of individual residents.

QUALIFICATIONS:                 

• A post-secondary diploma in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology or other related field from a community college.
• Current certification in both C.P.R. and Standard First Aid
• Food Handler certificate
• Good observation and reporting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deal compassionately with the elderly
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle with insurance is required.
