We are looking for highly motivated, energetic team members to join our Millwrights in our Maintenance Department.

Your daily role

General Functions/Specific Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain all processing and packaging machinery by carrying out preventative maintenance
  • Respond to breakdowns and other work assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Maintain equipment parts lists and manuals, determining necessary parts required for routine maintenance and necessary parts required for inventory to ensure maximum production time
  • Responsible for maintenance shift log book as well as logbooks for: lockout procedure, equipment repairs, record keeping for preventative maintenance program
  • Demonstrated skills in the installation of capital projects
  • Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, conveyor/auger systems and electrical troubleshooting
  • Must work in compliance with established HACCP, Food Safety and GMP protocols and report any concerns to your supervisor
  • Must work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures and report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions to your supervisor

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

D. Entry Level Criteria:

As a foundation for success, this person, upon entering the job, should have the following skills, knowledge, and experience:

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related discipline (licensed millwright)
  • Skills in maintenance, troubleshooting, welding, layout of work, electrical knowledge
  • Mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, the knowledge of pumps and hydraulics would be welcomed
  • Working knowledge of T.I.G. & M.I.G. welding, stick welding/plasma cutter
  • Manufacturing experience preferably in a food manufacturing facility
  • Prior knowledge of food safety and security practices
  • Strong commitment to safety
