Job Description
Major Responsibilities
- Assume the lead role in the delivery function as the driver of the delivery truck.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, demonstrating features and explaining care instructions and ensuring the customer is satisfied.
- Perform onsite inspections and reports for customer concerns and warranty issues.
- Unload trucks while verifying the condition of shipment and accuracy with BOL.
- Put stock away in warehouse in designated areas and tag items for customer orders.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and safety of the warehouse.
- Operate equipment and machines, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. in a safe and professional manner.
- Maintain stock on the sales floor of large goods
- Assemble and prepare goods for merchandising
- Complete grounds, building and equipment maintenance and repairs as required.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications
- Passion for delivering exemplary customer service with a demonstrated ability to maintain effective relationships with customers.
- Experience delivering furniture or other large goods is an asset
- Valid G Driver's licence with clean driver abstract
- Ability to safely lift and carry large goods weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Comfort with the use of computer programs, including POS software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Team driven but able to work independently when required
