Job Description
Tasks
- Package and label baked goods
- Portion and bake mixed dough and batters
- Decorate cookies and other baked goods
- Prepare recipes, refill ingredient containers with some heavy lifting (50 lb)
- Dishwashing, cleaning and sanitizing
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Operate baking equipment
- Organize and prepare customer orders
- Errands and deliveries with paid mileage
- Extra days may be required at busier times of the year and holidays
- Maintain a gluten-free baking environment
- This is a physically demanding position with standing required most of the day and repetitive tasks.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food service environment preferred.
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to take on various tasks as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Good communication and ability to follow directions.
- Food handler's certificate preferred.
- Knowledge of gluten-free foods and allergies an asset.
