Job Description
YOUR ROLE IN OUR TEAM
Under the supervision of the Production Leader, the machine operator is in charge of the smooth running of the manufacturing process in order to produce according to the company’s quality and quantity requirements.
THE CHALLENGES WE HAVE FOR YOU
- Drive the automated manufacturing process, correct drifts and ensure productivity;
- Perform equipment inspections and cleaning according to procedures;
- Adjust equipment to meet specifications;
- Verify product quality according to established standards;
- Enter production data into computerized management systems;
- Perform first-level maintenance tasks;
- Ensure proper communication and transmission of information between teams;
- Suggest measures to improve production activities and occupational health and safety;
- Perform any other related tasks requested by the supervisor.
- Shift: Rotation 2 weeks 12 hours shifts (days and nights)
- Job status: Permanent
- Workplace: Woodstock, ON
- Work timetable: Full time (36-48 hrs)
- Years of experience wanted: 3 to 5 years
- Rate: $23.75 to $24.22
Education
Experience Required
THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education :
High school diploma;
Mechanical or chemical education (An asset).
Experience :
Minimum 3 years of experience working on a production line;
Experience in the chemical industry, especially in the processing of plastics (An asset);
Experience in a leadership position (An asset).
Knowledge and Competencies :
Knowledge of panel-controlled machine;
Knowledge of industrial maintenance (An asset);
Experience in reporting results, working with the ERP system (An asset);
Knowledge of the French language (An asset).
Skills and attitudes :
Strong team spirit, good work ethic;
Sensitive to workplace safety;
Computer literate;
Willingness to learn;
Physical requirements :
Handling of loads up to 50 lbs.
