The Process Technician is responsible for assisting the shop floor setup , processing updates, training and assisting production to improve process tooling.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot quality and processing issues on the shop floor, collaborating with senior programmers and the Engineering Manager as needed.
  • Support a fast-paced, dynamic work environment by adapting to changing priorities and production demands.
  • Assist and guide setup personnel with daily setup tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide training and support to shop floor team members as required.
  • Conduct tool trials, analyze results, and implement improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to standardized methods, tools, and processes through follow-up and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of general machining practices.

  • Basic understanding of gauge design and usage.

  • Ability to specify manufacturing processes for components with guidance from senior programmers or the Engineering Manager.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues related to tooling, gauging, machining, or fixturing.

  • Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
