Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to learn on the job. Experience with a background in construction and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to garage door systems is an asset but not required. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. We are willing to train the right candidate for this position. This job will begin as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers including residential, commercial and agricultural.
- Diagnose issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and installations.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
- Perform carpentry tasks as needed, including drywall repair and caulking.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs or installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Expected Hours: 40-50 per week
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction or related fields preferred.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites with a clean drivers abstract.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction.
