Overhead Door Technician

We are seeking a skilled Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to learn on the job. Experience with a background in construction and repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to garage door systems is an asset but not required. This role requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. We are willing to train the right candidate for this position. This job will begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors and openers including residential, commercial and agricultural.
• Diagnose issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and installations.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation.
• Perform carpentry tasks as needed, including drywall repair and caulking.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs or installations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Expected Hours: 40-50 per week 

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction or related fields preferred.

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.

• Ability to read schematics and blueprints accurately.

• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.

• A valid driver's license is required for travel to job sites with a clean drivers abstract.

• Excellent communication skills for client interaction.
