EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week)
REPORTING TO: Administrator of Woodingford Lodge – Woodstock
WAGE RANGE: $62.84 - $78.55 per hour ($114,368.80 - $142,961.00 annually)

MAIN DUTIES:
Reporting to the Administrator of Woodingford Lodge – Woodstock, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a primary care provider to residents and works within his/her legislative scope of practice as described and outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with the resident and family/care giver, along with the health care team in the development, implementation and evaluation of the resident’s plan of care; provides leadership and mentorship to LTCH staff; and leads and collaborates research, education, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Education
Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proof of current registration with the College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse in the Extended Class (Primary Health Care or Adult) and entitled to practice. Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Post-graduate education and experience in gerontology is an asset.
- Specialty certification in gerontological nursing is an asset
- Post-graduate certification and experience in palliative care is an asset.
- Knowledgeable about primary health issues in long term care facilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with other health care professionals.
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and a reliable vehicle with insurance is required.
