Job Description
Job Purpose:
The seasonal delivery driver is responsible for safely and accurately delivering produce orders to a variety of grocery stores, wholesale distributors, and farm markets across Southwestern Ontario.
Reporting:
This role will be independent but requires frequent check-ins with supervisors and other upper management employees. This role will also require regular collaboration with barn crew leaders and store produce managers. Support and guidance are readily available.
Location & Working Conditions:
- On site at Thames River Melons, 765875 Township Road 5, Innerkip ON
- Variety of grocery store, wholesale distributor, and farm market locations across Southwestern Ontario
Hours: Full time or more if desired, seasonal
Education
Experience Required
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience driving approximately 24ft straight trucks
- Experience driving on 400-series highways
- Experience reversing, operating a power tailgate, and operating a pallet jack
- Full G-license required
- D-license an asset, but not required
- Must be 25 years of age or older to operate rental vehicles
