Bricklayer/ General Labourer

Job Summary

Brik Masonry is seeking a Bricklayer/General Labourer to join their construction team based out of Norwich, ON. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn, comfortable with operating power tools and will maintain a safe work environment. 

Duties may include:

• Construct, repair, and maintain brick structures such as walls, chimneys, and walkways.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and laying bricks.
• Operate heavy equipment when necessary for large-scale projects.
• Apply caulking and other materials to ensure proper sealing and insulation.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction is a strong asset.

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics related to masonry an asset. 

• Demonstrated experience in using hand tools, power tools, safely and effectively.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

• Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods. 

Work Location: Main shop is Norwich, ON. Must have reliable transportation to and from this location.
