Job Description
Job Summary
Brik Masonry is seeking a Bricklayer/General Labourer to join their construction team based out of Norwich, ON. The ideal candidate will be motivated to learn, comfortable with operating power tools and will maintain a safe work environment.
Duties may include:
- Construct, repair, and maintain brick structures such as walls, chimneys, and walkways.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and laying bricks.
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for large-scale projects.
- Apply caulking and other materials to ensure proper sealing and insulation.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications
Experience in construction is a strong asset.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics related to masonry an asset.
Demonstrated experience in using hand tools, power tools, safely and effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods.
Work Location: Main shop is Norwich, ON. Must have reliable transportation to and from this location.
