Job Description
Little Hobby Hill Farm is hiring a Petting Zoo Attendant.
Position Type: Seasonal, part-time
Location: 333624 Plank Line, Salford, ON N0J 1W0, Canada
Animal Care
- Provide food and clean drinking water to a variety of animals as needed at the farm, and while traveling to events.
- Contact management promptly if concerned about animal health and safety.
- Carry and set up barriers while traveling to events to ensure animals are contained.
Customer Service
- - Assist patrons with animal interactions, such as feeding animals by hand, holding rabbits and Guinea pigs, and petting the variety of animals present.
- - Handling payment in the form of cash. - Greeting guests and answering their questions in a polite and friendly manner.
Traveling to Events
- Driving farm vehicles (ability to tow a trailer an asset) within 2 hours of Salford, Ontario.
- Unloading pens, animals, animal care items, signage, and decor.
- Setting up animal pens according to the needs of each client while ensuring animals are safe, and accessible to guests.
- Packing the mobile event equipment back into the farm vehicle and cleaning the area thoroughly prior to returning to the farm.
Education
Experience Required
Requirements:
- Valid Class G Drivers License (experience towing a trailer an asset)
- Available to work Saturdays and Sundays
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Comfortable working around farm animals
- Strong customer service skills
