Job Description
Stubbe's has a complex network infrastructure, with highly available and redundant server clusters, storage infrastructure, 10 GbE LAN networking, and high-speed wireless links. Our production plants and office rely heavily on our IT infrastructure, and therefore uptime is paramount.
Stubbe’s is based primarily in Harley, Ontario consisting of 3 production plants, a state-of-the-art office, a mechanic shop and branch offices in Aylmer, Centralia, Hickson, Hagersville, Port Weller, Princeton, Smithville and Woodstock. Our newest production plant is heavily automated with robotics. Our IT team services a large employee base across our company, in addition to a variety of 3rd party contractors.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to get involved with exciting, high-level IT projects. As our infrastructure continues to grow, there are always new and exciting projects to become involved with.
This position reports to our main office location in Harley, ON on a daily basis. (located between Brantford, ON and Woodstock, ON). In office position.
THE DAY TO DAY
- Perform on-site IT hardware and software support to all employees
- Create, monitor, escalate, and resolve tickets using a helpdesk ticket system
- Deploy, manage, and support IT assets (desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, copiers, and miscellaneous devices)
- Assist with managing users and computer accounts (AD, Azure, Office 365, Intune)
- Stay informed on new and emerging trends and technologies that provide clear benefits to the organization
- Perform other duties as required
Education
Experience Required
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum 2 years hands on IT experience in a Windows environment and/or Post-secondary degree/diploma/certificate in an IT-related discipline
- Demonstrated ability with installation and configuration of Windows 11
- Strong documentation skills
- Experience supporting iOS and Android devices
- Excellent at troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Familiarity with computer hardware and repair
- Familiarity with networking: switches, routers, Wi-Fi, and the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP)
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Quick learner who can adapt to change and multi-task
- Fluent in both spoken and written English
- Ability to work well under pressure
- A valid Ontario driver’s license
