Job Description

Machinist/Welder 

A Machinist/welder is responsible for ensuring the part is manufactured safely, efficiently and in accordance with OHC's manufacturing standards including material, paperwork, inspections, basic programming, awareness of part planning, awareness of cutting/welding dynamics and making ongoing adjustments based on cutting/welding conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints and drawings;

· Select proper tools and fixtures required as well as the ability to perform tool wear offset;

· Properly and safely load and unload tools and raw materials onto machine;

· Knowledge of proper feeds and speeds;

· Verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments;

· Operate hoisting and lifting devices to load and unload parts;

· Must be able to lift items up to 40lbs ;

· Recognize, deploy and properly use inserts, jaws, tooling, etc.;

· Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery; and

· Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Experience Required

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of Manual Lathe experience

· Minimum 5 years welding experience

Wage Details

$25 - $35 per hour
