We are seeking a committed and energetic individual to join our team and fill the role of part-time Customer Service Representative (Retail). This role requires you to work every Saturday from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

The candidate should be passionate about customer service excellence and enjoy working with customers. The primary function of this role is working in the retail store, helping customers with their purchases and accounts, loading orders into customer vehicles (must be able to lift up to 50lb), taking payments, and supporting the operations of the store. The candidate will be required to learn about the store's products to enable them to make recommendations to customers and answer their questions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist customers in-store, by email, and by answering incoming phone calls
• Receive, verify, and organize incoming inventory; ensure accuracy of all shipments
• Perform general warehouse duties, including organizing stock, maintaining clean storage areas, and ensuring safe handling of products
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, including forklifts and pallet jacks, following all workplace safety protocols.
• Restock products throughout the Farm & Table store
• Carry out general janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, cleaning washrooms, and maintaining overall facility cleanliness
• Complete daily store closing procedures, including cashing out, securing fridges and lights, and managing garbage and recycling
• Provide relief and coverage for co-workers during absences, offering opportunities for additional hours during busy seasons, staff vacations, sick days, and special events.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in a customer service environment
• Warehouse experience, including inventory handling and storage procedures
• Forklift operation experience; certification considered an asset
• Experience with general janitorial or facility-cleaning tasks
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, and general business applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Strong phone etiquette and active listening skills
• Ability to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and task-prioritization abilities
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs
