Job Description

POSITION:                             Accounts Receivable Administrator (Comp. #2026-17)

LOCATION:                            Financial Services, Oxford County Administration Building

EMPLOYMENT STATUS:     Temporary Full-time (approximately 12 months)

REPORTING TO:                   Supervisor of Accounting

UNION AFFILIATION:           Non-Union

WAGE RATE:                        $30.75/hr - $38.43/hr ($55,965 - $69,942.60 annually)

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Provides accurate and timely recording of accounts receivable transactions into the financial system ensuring compliance with County policies and procedures.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related discipline.     
  • Demonstrated experience working in an accounting position, preferably in a complex or public sector environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of general accounting practices, policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • A sound base of computer software packages such as Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office to produce reports that are importable and exportable to and from the accounting system.
  • Strong decision-making abilities and judgement skills.
  • Committed to quality work, attention to detail, with strong organizational skills and a high ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
