Job Description

We are hiring for one (1) contract seasonal (approximately June to September 2026) Customer Service Representative for Pittock Conservation Area. 

The Customer Service Representative will carry out the day-to-day requirements for the administration, maintenance, and operations of the gate/registration office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operation of the gate/registration office, including selling daily and seasonal permits and registering campers and day-use visitors.
  • Provide welcoming, respectful, and informative customer service by sharing accurate information about facilities, regulations, policies and the UTRCA mandate.
  • Respond to visitor questions, concerns, and complaints in a respectful and problem-solving manner.
  • Control and regulate visitor access to the Conservation Areas in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and wear the supplied UTRCA uniform as required.
  • Follow all applicable UTRCA policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe workplace by maintaining interior and exterior areas, including gardening, cleaning, painting, and other maintenance tasks as needed.

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience handling payments, including working with cash and point of sale systems.
  • Knowledge and comfort working with computers.
  • Ability to interact respectfully and effectively with a high volume of visitors each day.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and support tasks in other areas of the Conservation Area as needed.

Certifications, Memberships, Licenses

  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License and valid CPR/First Aid Certificate.

Background Check Requirements

  • Successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory police check prior to commencement of employment.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $19.64 (starting) to $24.08 per hour, plus 4% in vacation pay
