Job Description

The Home Delivery Route Developer is a seasonal, remote role responsible for building, adjusting, and optimizing home delivery routes to support efficient weekly deliveries. This position focuses on logistics, planning, and problem-solving to ensure delivery teams have clear, accurate, and consistent routes that support timely and smooth operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and organize weekly home delivery routes using our delivery route software, Cigo
  • Adjust routes as needed based on order volume locations and last-minute changes
  • Communicate route updates clearly to relevant team members
  • Support delivery planning during peak periods and as issues arise
  • Assist with small logistics related tasks throughout the week as needed

Schedule:

  • Season: Approximately 28 weeks (May - November)
  • ~10 hours per week Fridays or Saturdays (4-6 hours)
  • Throughout the week as needed (a few hours total)

Reporting:

This role will be independent but requires frequent check-ins with supervisors and other upper management employees. Support and guidance are readily available.

Experience Required

 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
  • Confident using computers, spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel), and learning new software such as Cigo
  • Good written communication skills to clearly share route updates with the team
  • Ability to problem-solve and adjust plans when orders or locations change
  • Reliable internet access and ability to meet weekly deadlines (especially Fridays or Saturdays)
  • Interest in logistics, planning, or operations is considered an asset
