Job Description

Lind Equipment is a fast-growing manufacturing company focused on building quality products the right way. We take pride in our people, our shop, and the work we put out the door. We’re looking for an experienced Brake Press Operator who knows their way around a shop floor and wants steady, long-term work with room to grow.

 

What You’ll Do

 

As a Brake Press Operator, you’ll be hands-on with day-to-day production work. You’ll be bending, forming, and fabricating metal parts while keeping quality, safety, and efficiency top of mind.

 

Set up, operate, and program hydraulic brake presses

Read and work from drawings, cut lists, and job travelers

Bend parts to spec and check finished work for quality

Move material using cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and slings

Make basic machine adjustments and report any issues

Keep accurate production and job records

Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized

Follow shop rules, safety procedures, and company policies

Training is ongoing. Operators who show skill, reliability, and a good attitude will have opportunities to learn additional machines and move up.

 

Equipment & Tools You’ll Use

 

Hydraulic brake presses

Cranes, hoists, and lifting slings

Hand trucks

Grinders, drills, saws, punches, torches, and hand tools

CAD software

Data entry software

Microsoft Excel and Word

Company vehicles (as required)

What We’re Looking For

 

Experience & Knowledge:

 

Solid understanding of metal fabrication and bending operations

Knowledge of raw materials and quality requirements

Familiar with shop safety practices and production standards

Skills:

 

Comfortable running production equipment independently

Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship

Able to troubleshoot basic issues and ask for help when needed

Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

Qualifications

Education

Secondary School Diploma

Experience Required

Minimum 5 years experience with plasma tables and bending brakes (required)

Minimum 3 years experience with equipment operation and laser table programming

Compensation and Benefits

$20.00–$25.00 per hour
