Position Summary

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling high-quality lighting and power products while meeting daily production targets, maintaining workplace organization, and adhering to Lind Equipment’s quality, health, and safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction

  • Meet daily production targets as set by management and communicate proactively if deadlines cannot be met.
  • Assemble end items from raw materials using production Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring products meet quality standards, are properly labeled, and packaged correctly.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed orders and units manufactured.
  • Ensure all raw materials and finished products meet Lind Equipment’s quality control standards; take corrective action and communicate changes as required.
  • Capture real-time production data and report any variances between BOM-estimated times and actual assembly times.
  • Use downtime effectively by assisting with site clean-up and other assigned duties.
  • Support special projects and provide backup assistance to other departments as needed.

Workplace Organization

  • Ensure all components and subassemblies have designated storage locations and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Return unused materials to proper locations upon order completion.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support efficiency and productivity.
  • Proactively suggest process improvements to increase productivity, quality, and accuracy, particularly within production operations.

Health and Safety

  • Strictly adhere to all health and safety policies, housekeeping standards, and WHMIS protocols.
  • Report any unsafe procedures, tools, or equipment to management immediately.
  • Identify, remove, and/or tag damaged or defective tools to reduce workplace hazards.
  • Safely operate hand tools and power tools to assemble high-quality lighting products.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage assigned tasks or projects effectively.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis.
  • Electrical assembly experience (1 year preferred).
  • Mechanical assembly experience (1 year preferred).
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience (1 year preferred).
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Work Schedule & Employment Type

  • Full-time, Permanent
  • Day shift, 8-hour shifts
  • Overtime may be required

Compensation and Benefits

CA$19.00-CA$21.00 per hour
