General Labourer

Job Overview
We are seeking a positive and hard working individual to join our team. As a general labourer at Benko Pet Foods, you would be tasked with working with both raw and cooked animal by-products. As part of our production team, you will need to be able to work independently or with a team to ensure the proper, safe, efficient manufacturing of our pet treats. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards and food safety. Your primary task will be the operation of our sausage stuffing machine.

Duties

• Handling of raw food materials is a must.
• Working in a cold, food safe environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols. This will include the proper training for food safety compliances.
• Following quality control protocols to ensure adherence to company guidelines for product specifications.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the plant manager and team leads.
• Fostering a positive work culture is a must.
• Computer skills

Experience

• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions accurately, both in a team environment and also independently
• Fostering of a positive work culture
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects is a must (50 pounds solo, 60+ with team lift), stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
