Production Worker (Full-Time)

W-S Feed & Supplies Ltd. is an independently owned and operated company. As an industry leading manufacturer of livestock feed, the company is strongly committed to its values of quality and service. We offer our customers a wide variety of feeds in the Dairy, Beef, Swine and Poultry species. Manufacturing divisions with the company include Mount Forest and the head office located in Tavistock. We are currently hiring for the following positions at our Tavistock location:

This position is responsible to accurately help prepare mixes for feed production by gathering and weighing bagged feed ingredients, additives and medications.

Role Responsibilities and Duties

• Gather and weigh all “hand-add” ingredients.
• Prepare medications and record daily to ensure accurate usage.
• Ensure feed is produced following the CFIA sequencing guide to avoid contamination.
• Comply with FeedAssure Program operating procedures.
• Consistently work in a safe and conscientious manner and comply with all safety procedures.
• Assist with other duties as can be reasonably required.
• Work additional hours to meet business demands.
• General housekeeping as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment as approved.

Qualifications/Job Requirements

• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 kgs. 
• Ability and willingness to work in dusty, warm, as well as cold environment.
• Flexible and able to deal with change.
• Excellent organization, multi-tasking and problems solving skills.
• Forklift Operator Licence/Certification considered an asset. 
• Competent verbal and written communication skills and ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Great attitude, team player, reliable and able to work independently.
