Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Technologist is responsible for the development, programming, optimization, and documentation of CNC/NC equipment, robotics, tooling, and gauging systems. This role supports the production team in improving process efficiency, solving technical issues, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. With strong project management, programming, and analytical skills, the Technologist ensures that all tools, methods, and systems operate at optimal performance to meet customer needs, safety, and cost objectives.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

Education & Experience

  • 3-Year Post Secondary Diploma in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering or machining environment
  • Experience in CNC programming, robotics systems, and tooling development is essential

Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of:

  • CNC machining and programming (Fanuc, Okuma, etc.)
  • Robotics and automation in manufacturing
  • Gauging systems, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Machining practices, tooling, and lean manufacturing

Working knowledge of:

  • CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks)
  • APQP processes, SOPs, and ITPs

Skills

  • Strong project management multitasking ability
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM, CNC programming, and robotic integration
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Technical writing and documentation skills
  • Time management and prioritization under pressure

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range:$71,800.00 To $103,300.00 Annually
