Langs Bus Lines Limited is looking for a professional, safety-oriented mechanic to join our team, to work in a full-service, modern maintenance and repair site.

 THE OPPORTUNITY

  • The successful candidate will join a team of mechanics that service and repair our fleet of 800+ vehicles – including school buses, minivans, minibuses, wheelchair-lift equipped vehicles and trucks. Langs has also embraced the incorporation of electric busses into our fleet and training will be provided to the successful candidate to also service and maintain these vehicles. Under general supervision, work in a modern multi-bay, shop as part of a team.
  • Assist on the road vehicle breakdown situations.
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance services, inspections on vehicles and equipment.
  • Review and complete repairs identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Perform diagnosis of engine, brake, electrical components of vehicles using vehicle onboard computer and various diagnostic software tools.
  • Perform requisition of parts, complete repairs and enter work order using fleet maintenance software, documenting accurate part usage and repair time.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

WHAT WE NEED

  • Minimum of 3 years mechanical experience.
  • Apprenticing or preferably licensed 310T
  • Apprenticing or licensed 310S is a strong asset.
  • Familiarity with relevant software including Cummins INSITE, Navistar Engine Diagnostics, Allison DOC, Diamond Logic; Meritor WABCO; and/or; Cetaris is an asset.
  • Proficient in diagnosing, servicing and repairing mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate.
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract and willing to undergo Criminal Records check.
  • Having the basic tools to meet the job requirements is strongly recommended.

Wage Details

$35 - $36 per hour
