Vuteq Technical Center Americas is a Sales and Engineering service provider representing Vuteq and Diversity Vuteq manufacturing groups throughout North America. Job Description

As a member of the VTCA Administration Department, the IT Administrator is responsible for providing information technology and digitalization support for VTCA. This position will be the point of contact for all IT related troubleshooting and tasks at VTCA and will be a direct liaison with the V-CAN IT Group. In an effort to support digitalization, this position will work with all VTCA departments to support and implement their individual digitalization projects.

Position Description

  • Help desk support for VTCA; physical PC/desk phone/cellphone/printer support, such as configuring laptops, desktops, network password resets, user-based application support, installing applications, deploying replacement components and peripherals, and configuring mobile devices.
  • Support sourcing and installation of new computer hardware, accessories, and software.
  • System patching; manage the application and operating system updates for all end user devices within the organization deploying patches using Manage Engine, following the standard deployment schedule.
  • Document various processes such as network changes when working with other IT members, tracking of IT assets when deployed or replaced.
  • Miscellaneous Server administration as skill set allows, including but not limited to, email administration, file server and print server maintenance, switch configuration, and supporting backup solutions.
  • Educating staff on cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.
  • Support all VTCA departments for their individual digitalization projects by acting as an intermediary between VTCA and V-CAN IT Group.
    • Meet with VTCA team, understand their project requirements, support the review and kickoff with V-CAN IT Group, monitor progress, and support implementation.

Education

  • Successful completion of a 2-3 year college diploma in an IT-related field is preferred

Experience

  • Experience in IT Helpdesk/Desktop support is preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing and/or automotive considered an asset
  • Programming experience is an asset – Python, Javascript, etc.
  • Database experience is an asset - PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DB2, etc.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Sense of creativity when developing new software to deal with multiple types of issues from team members

Other

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel to other Vuteq locations (USA, Mexico, Japan, etc.)
  • Must have valid passport, or be willing to obtain

Compensation and Benefits

$55,000–$75,000 a year
