Job Description

The Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Maintenance & Custodian to keep our centre clean, safe, and fully operational. This is a varied role that combines custodial work, maintenance, event setup, minor repairs, and learning and supporting all building systems to ensure the facility runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all areas of the facility.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, small machinery, and building systems.
  • Set up and tear down tables, chairs, and furniture for events and programs.
  • Learn and support all building systems, with guidance and training provided.
  • Follow procedures to maintain order, safety, and efficiency.
  • Identify potential issues early and address them proactively.
  • Adapt to changing schedules, events, and facility needs.
  • Work well with the team; leadership and training potential is an asset.

Experience Required

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience in custodial work, building maintenance, or similar hands-on roles.
  • Is comfortable with minor repairs and general “fix-it” tasks.
  • Is organized, proactive, and physically capable.
  • Can learn and troubleshoot building systems with training.
  • Works well in a team and shows potential for leadership/training.
  • Can be flexible with shifts and tasks in a busy environment.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $22–$24/hr based on experience
