Volunteer Job Description

Working alongside the Program Leader the Volunteer participant will assist in the operation and delivery of a comprehensive experience as developed by the Recreation department to meet the needs of participants and to ensure adequate safety while facilitating leisure activities.

Experience Required

  • Must be 14 years of age or older
  • Previous experience working with children an asset
  • Admission into Volunteer Program & Membership is conditional upon receipt of a Vulnerable Sector Screening
  • High Five Principle of Healthy Child Development would be considered an asset
  • Attendance at training sessions and meetings is mandatory
  • Standard First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
