The Woodstock Legion Athletic Club (WLAC) is seeking passionate and dedicated Track and Field Coaches for all disciplines to join our coaching team for the upcoming season. If you have a strong knowledge of track and field, a commitment to athlete development, and a love for coaching, we want to hear from you!

About WLAC:
The Woodstock Legion Athletic Club is a community-driven organization with a proud history of promoting track and field in the Woodstock area. We support athletes of all levels, from beginners to competitive athletes, in a variety of disciplines, including sprints, distance running, jumps, throws, hurdles, and relays.
Responsibilities:
● Develop and implement training plans for athletes in various track and field disciplines.
● Provide individualized coaching with mentorship, ensuring proper technique, strength, and conditioning.
● Lead training sessions and help prepare athletes for local, regional, and provincial competitions.
● Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating training environment for athletes of all ages.
● Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and club staff to maintain high coaching standards.

Experience Required
Qualifications:
● Previous coaching experience in track and field is preferred, but not mandatory.
● Knowledge of track and field events and training methodologies.
● Ability to work with athletes of all ages and skill levels.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
● Certification in coaching (NCCP or equivalent) is an asset but not required.
● A passion for promoting fitness, sportsmanship, and the development of young athletes.
