Volunteer Job Description
Our Virtual Mentoring Program connects youth on our waitlist with caring adult mentors through phone, text, and video calling applications.
Matches communicate once a week for 1–2 hours and work on a weekly activity or task together. BBBS Oxford provides monthly activity ideas and supplies for both mentors and mentees, making it easy to engage in fun, meaningful, and developmentally focused experiences. This program is a flexible way to provide support, encouragement, and connection for youth who may not be able to meet in person.
Experience Required
Requirements:
Minimum 6-month commitment
Weekly virtual meetings (1–2 hours each)
Must be 18+
Able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Access to a device with video calling capability and reliable internet
Complete volunteer interview, intake, and training
BBBS Oxford provides full training and ongoing support to ensure a safe and rewarding experience for both mentors and youth.
