Pit Operator

Location: Thamesford

Stubbe’s is known for its forward-thinking solutions, quality and customer service and offers significant experience and expertise in providing optimal solutions for commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural structures. 

Reporting to the Aggregate Pit Manager, the Aggregate Pit Operator will be responsible for the supervision of the aggregate plant, loading of trucks and hopper as well as overall maintenance of equipment. The work location is in Thamesford, ON.

 

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Perform daily checks on conveyors, screen decks, and crusher
  • Monitor the plant to ensure that it is running safely, and production is consistent
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
  • Maintain site cleanliness
  • Perform general labour duties, including shoveling around belts and crusher
  • Loading of gravel trucks and hopper
  • Knowledge of weigh scale and computer
  • Stockpile materials 
  • Other duties as requested by management

  • Must be able to work in a self-managed team.

  •  Ability to learn quick 

  • Previous equipment operating skills an asset 

  •  Reliable and highly motivated 

  •  Excellent communication skills 

  •  Great organizational skills 

  •  Safety conscious 

  •  Attention to detail 

  •  Ability to lift 50 lbs. 

  •  Have mechanical knowledge and experience with general equipment maintenance 

  •  Capable of working independently 

  •  Able to promote a positive and safe work environment 


 

Wage Details

$23 - $30 per hour
