Job Description

Location: Harley, ON

Stubbe’s is a family-owned and operated company with over 40 years of experience providing innovative, high-quality precast concrete solutions for commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural markets.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical equipment and utilities throughout our precast manufacturing facilities.

Your Day to Day

  • Perform all duties in a safe manner
  • Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, concrete batching system, genie booms, forklifts and other hand powered tools
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment
  • Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment/ electrical runs & services
  • Work flexible hours when required
  • Work is performed and documented through a CMMS program
  • Work with maintenance supervisor for scheduling of down time to work on equipment or projects
  • Execute schedule PM’s and report findings to supervisor

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

What you bring:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed 442A or 309A 

  • Ability to work with little or no supervision

  • Have a good mechanical aptitude 

  • Ability to read and understand complex wire schematics 

  • Providing your own standard tools related to the trade 

  • Strong work ethic and highly motivated 

  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written 

  • Perficient in use of technology e.g. cell phones, email 

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical practices & electrical code

  • A firm understanding of PLC logic, motor starters/ VFD’s, Ether net & Profibus communications
