Job Description

Looking to start or grow your career in accounting? Join our finance team and gain hands-on experience with month-end reporting, billing, accounts receivable, costing, and financial analysis. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with a year or two of experience who is eager to learn, contribute, and build a long-term career.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

  • Assist with completing month-end procedures and reconciliations for inventory, deferred revenue, accruals, overhead, etc. together with the existing team in a very efficient and timely manner
  • Reviewing financial results of individual companies monthly
  • Assists with preparing costing of product
  • Analyzes specific job results by revenue type, (e.g., overall margins on large total precast jobs), ensuring we reach our target margins.
  • Ensures intercompany fees are billed as required.
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed records of billing, payments, and collections activity.
  • Assist with preparation of accounts receivable aging reports and assist with month-end close.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service, project management) to ensure accurate billing and resolve account issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial regulations.
  • Other duties as requested by management.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Post Secondary education in Accounting or Finance preferred

  • Audit experience an asset

  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Macro’s, VLOOKUP) required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to investigate and problem-solve independently.

Salary Range:$50,000.00 To $55,000.00 Annually
