Health and Safety Administrator

LOCATION: Harley, ON

OVERVIEW

We are looking for a hands-on and organized Health & Safety Coordinator to support workplace safety, injury management, WSIB administration, return-to-work activities, contractor safety, and employee training across our locations.

This is a highly interactive role that works directly with employees, supervisors, managers, contractors, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, comfortable in an industrial environment, and committed to following through on safety-related matters.

THE DAY TO DAY

• Respond to workplace injuries and provide first aid within the scope of training and certification.
• Complete injury documentation and assist with incident investigations and corrective-action follow-up.
• Coordinate WSIB reporting, maintain claim documentation, and communicate with employees, management, healthcare providers, and WSIB as required.
• Support modified-work and return-to-work plans, including tracking restrictions and following up with employees and supervisors.
• Assist with contractor safety requirements, documentation, onboarding, and compliance.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientations and support ongoing employee safety training.
• Perform workplace inspections and assist with hazard identification and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate health and safety, training, injury, and WSIB records.
• Provide day-to-day health and safety support to employees and supervisors.
• Support company safety programs, audits, investigations, and other safety initiatives.
• Travel between company locations as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 1–3 years of experience in health and safety, WSIB administration, workplace injury management, or a related role is preferred.
• Knowledge of Ontario health and safety requirements and WSIB processes is an asset.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in manufacturing, construction, or an industrial environment is an asset.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable working directly with employees, supervisors, managers, and contractors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between company locations.
