Job Description
Verdant DBM Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Sidewalk Crew Leader to lead a team of snow removal professionals for the upcoming winter season. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate trucks with trailers. As a Sidewalk Crew Leader, you will oversee the safe and efficient removal of snow and ice from sidewalks, pathways, and public spaces. You will ensure that operations run smoothly, meet safety standards, and provide excellent service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team in clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, driveways, and walkways.
- Operate snow removal trucks with trailers to transport equipment and materials.
- Supervise and coordinate the efforts of snow removal personnel, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all snow removal operations comply with safety protocols and company policies.
- Monitor weather conditions and adjust the crew’s operations accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records, including crew hours, equipment usage, and completed work.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients to report progress and resolve any issues.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational during the winter season.

Education
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in snow removal, leadership, or a similar role.
- Proven experience driving trucks with trailers.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to operate snow removal equipment safely and effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (driving abstract required).
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Ability to work in harsh weather conditions for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be available on call 24/7 during snow and ice events, including holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from the yard is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
