Job Description
Jakeman's is a family owned maple syrup manufacturer. We're growing quickly into most major retail chains in Canada and throughout the world. We are looking for permanent employees for our bottling and Candy Packaging lines.
As a Production Worker, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations, focusing on food processing and sanitation to ensure product quality and safety. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in manufacturing and food safety while leveraging premium skills in packaging and forklift operation. Your ability to perform heavy lifting and basic math will support efficient production workflows. Working Hours
7:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
Responsibilities include:
-Receiving & preparing maple syrup for production.
-Filling a wide range of bottles.
-Hand labeling or feeding auto labeler.
-Packaging maple candy.
-Filling orders as needed.
-Maintaining adequate stock levels.
-Date code all production as produced.
-Prepare products for shipping.
-Maintaining strict product integrity protocols under CFIA, HACCP & BRC rules.
-Inventory recording and control.
Skill Set
-Troubleshooting and problem-solving day to day events.
-Computer literate in MS Office programs.
-Capable of working quickly in a fast passed environment.
This is a full-time position working a normal 40 hr work week.
The participant will be trained under the supervision of Devin Jakeman – Production Manager.
