Job Description

A small, family-owned excavation company is seeking an experienced, dedicated full time DZ driver with Stone Slinger experience being an asset.

Ideally we are looking for someone who has slinging experience, or for a DZ driver who is willing to learn a new skill. We are seeking a Stone Slinger Truck Driver to join our team. The Slinger Truck Driver will be responsible for safely operating a slinger truck to transport and deliver materials such as aggregates, gravel, sand, and soil to job sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trucking regulations, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate the slinger truck efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a slinger truck to transport and deliver materials to job sites in a timely manner
  • Load and unload materials using the slinger truck's conveyor belt system
  • Inspect the slinger truck before and after each trip and report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the slinger truck
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and clients to ensure efficient delivery of materials
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site

Experience Required

Requirements:

  • Valid Class AZ or Class DZ commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
  • Strong understanding of trucking regulations and safety standards
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a variety of weather conditions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and a focus on safety
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
