JOB SUMMARY
The role of the 310T Mechanic is to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles in the Stubbe’s fleet. Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles as required.
YOUR DAY TO DAY
- Responsible for the diagnose and repair of vehicles in the fleet including but not limited to heavy equipment such as redi-mix trucks, forklifts, tractors, pay loaders, trailers, and automotive vehicles,
- Systems to diagnosis and repair include but are not limited to engines, electrical, brakes, cooling, transmission, clutches, differentials, power dividers, PTOs, starters, alternators, air conditioning, engine electronics, power steering, steering gear boxes, and emission control,
- Schedule daily workload amount for yourself and other mechanics,
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment or systems to detect faults and malfunctions, determine extent of repair required,
- Order necessary parts or equipment,
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts,
- Test repaired equipment to ensure it is working properly,
- Service attachments and working tools if necessary,
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure proper upkeep of vehicles,
- Sources suppliers and negotiate pricing for parts and supplies,
- Responsible to respond to service calls, based on a rotating schedule,
- Operate and complete all tasks in a neat and tidy order, and
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner.
Education
Experience Required
WHAT YOU NEED
- Must have 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification,
- Minimum of five (5) years practical working experience,
- Proficient in the use of all tools of the trade
- Basic computer skills, and
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
