Job Description

Stubbe’s is known for its forward-thinking solutions, quality and customer service and offers significant experience and expertise in providing optimal solutions for commercial, industrial, residential, and agricultural structures. 

Reporting to the Plant Manager and working with a team to perform tasks involved in fabrication of Hollowcore.

Positions available in Harley, ON ( between Brantford and Woodstock)

Nightshift 5pm-5am Monday-Thursday + $3.50hr shift premium!

Your Day to Day: 

  • Set up, adjust and operate single function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete to specifications
  • Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds and fill molds with concrete from suspended pouring buckets
  • Remove casting from mold with crane or forklift, and finish surfaces of castings using screened or trowel
  • Check product length, width and notch locations
  • Clean & oil beds
  • Layout beds
  • Organize tools
  • Load hollow core using proper stacking methods
  • Place, vibrate, and finish concrete 
  • Understand basics of quality control
  • Clean work space on a regular basis
  • Other duties as requested by management

Experience Required

What we are looking for: 

An effective Labourer should possess the following:

  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in construction or production (preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints (an asset)
  • Proficient with hand tools
  • Experience working with concrete (an asset)
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Carpentry or woodworking experience (an asset)
  • Ability to read both metric and imperial tape measures, as well as technical drawings (an asset)
  • Strong organizational skills
